Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the 1990s. Her character as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab was a huge hit and made her extremely popular. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared along with her. In Mumbai where she grew up, she was by middle class parents. From a very early stage, she was able to take dance lessons. When she was a teenager, she began acting and struggled for years as the majority of her initial films ended up failing. Her career eventually took off and she became one of the top actresses in the Indian film industry. After her marriage her husband died, she took time to rest from her acting career until she returned. She recently was an integral part of Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit has been recognized in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these the awards she's won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. Her work in the field of social service is very well-known.
