Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia is a Spanish Pop/Flamenco performer. When she was a teenager she was involved in both the traditional and popular music. Her singing interests have broadened to encompass soul and hip-hop. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as delicate and sharp, yet featuring the sharpness of older singers. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success making it to the top of Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately getting a Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami came out as her third full-length album. It featured songs written in collaboration with other performers and producers like Cory Henry. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following an appearance of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia performed solo in her first appearance on the program. Motomami's Rosalia, who won an award for the Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first female to win one.
