Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. At the age 16, she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to give her more intense singing instruction. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her passion and love for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
